Job Description
A Senior Edge Compute Software Engineer responsible for developing, integrating, and optimizing Loft's Ultimate Edge SDK for embedded platforms, with a focus on NVIDIA Orin systems, to enhance onboard computing capabilities for space missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and optimize Loft's Ultimate Edge SDK for embedded platforms, focusing on NVIDIA Orin systems.
- Integrate ONNX inference runtimes and image-processing frameworks like OpenCV into the SDK.
- Configure and optimize GPU-accelerated and heterogeneous runtime environments for efficient resource utilization.
- Profile, benchmark, and perform performance tuning across multiple embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment of edge applications.
- Support continuous improvement of the onboard compute stack through testing, documentation, and validation.
Requirements
- Experience in developing, integrating, and optimizing software for embedded platforms, specifically with a focus on NVIDIA Orin based systems.
- Ability to assess portability and performance of software on additional hardware targets beyond NVIDIA Orin.
- Experience integrating ONNX-based inference runtimes and image-processing frameworks such as ONNX Runtime and OpenCV into software SDKs.
- Proficiency in configuring and optimizing GPU-accelerated and heterogeneous runtime environments to ensure efficient use of available resources.
- Experience in profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning of software across multiple embedded platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams to ensure smooth deployment of edge applications.
- Experience supporting the continuous improvement of onboard compute stacks through structured testing, documentation, and validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware integration issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English to convey complex ideas and collaborate effectively within an international team.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields relevant to embedded systems and software development.
