Job Description
A Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for maintaining and scaling Loft Orbital's ground segment infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and integration of services that support space operations on Earth and in orbit, with a focus on applying DevOps principles to spacecraft control.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and scale ground segment infrastructure for space operations
- Collaborate across development, operations, and IT teams to ensure service integration, delivery, and reliability
- Apply DevOps principles to spacecraft control and automate space infrastructure
Requirements
- Experience in maintaining and scaling ground segment infrastructure for space operations, including collaboration across development, operations, and IT teams to ensure the integration, delivery, and reliability of services supporting space operations on Earth and in orbit.
- Proficiency in applying DevOps principles to space infrastructure, including spacecraft control, and willingness to be trained in operating satellites as part of SatDevOps.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management, including deploying, maintaining, and scaling cloud-based systems.
- Ability to work on cutting-edge technology related to automated space infrastructure and modern space systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams including development, operations, and IT.
- Proficiency in operating within a fast-paced environment with a focus on reliability and automation of space-related services.
- Ability to operate in an international environment, with willingness to work across different offices and time zones, and to review and understand documentation in English.
