Job Description
The Senior Satellite Systems Engineer will lead the development and management of multiple satellite missions, serving as a technical expert and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful mission execution in a satellite manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development activities of one or multiple satellite missions with multi-payload configurations
- Serve as a technical reference for assigned satellite missions
- Collaborate with mission managers and cross-functional teams including product development, flight and ground software, AIT, and operations
Requirements
- Experience working as a senior engineer for satellite missions, with the ability to manage one or several satellite missions simultaneously, each with a multi-payload configuration.
- Ability to serve as a technical reference for satellite missions, working closely with mission managers and cross-functional teams including product development, flight and ground software, AIT, and operations.
- Proven experience leading the development activities of satellite missions using flight-proven satellite buses and payload hub infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of satellite systems, including multi-payload configurations and satellite bus architecture.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with mission managers, product development teams, and operational teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with satellite production processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of satellite mission lifecycle stages including development, integration, testing, and operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
