Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer at Loft is responsible for owning complex hardware throughout its lifecycle, developing standardized products for space missions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support hardware integration, testing, and on-orbit operations in the satellite launch industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Own complex hardware throughout its lifecycle
- Develop standardized products for space missions
- Adapt standard products to specific customer payloads
- Support production integration and testing of hardware
- Collaborate with partner teams including flight software, embedded systems, and on-orbit operations
Requirements
- Own complex hardware throughout the lifecycle and work closely with partner teams including flight software, embedded systems, integration test, and on-orbit operations.
- Possess strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively, convey complex ideas, and communicate important messages.
- Have experience in developing, supporting production integration, and testing of hardware products.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform clean sheet development of hardware products.
- Have a background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (implied by the role of Mechanical Engineer).
