Job Description
A Customer Delivery Engineer at Loft is responsible for the end-to-end deployment and operation of customer satellite missions, serving as the primary technical interface to translate mission objectives into operational workflows and ensuring reliable on-orbit execution of spacecraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to customers and translate mission objectives into operational workflows.
- Operate real spacecraft and build mission applications using Loft's API and infrastructure.
- Translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling for reliable on-orbit execution.
- Collaborate across satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution to deliver mission outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience operating real spacecraft and working directly with customers to build mission applications on top of Loft's API and operational infrastructure.
- Ability to translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling that ensure reliable, scalable on-orbit execution.
- Experience owning the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions.
- Strong understanding of satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution as they relate to satellite missions.
- Ability to serve as the primary technical interface to customers during satellite mission deployment and operations.
- Experience developing early requirements and Concept of Operations (ConOps) for satellite missions.
- Proficiency in commissioning, on-orbit operations, and continuous improvement of satellite missions.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment involving satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program management.
