Job Description
A Senior Product Designer at LevelTen Energy is responsible for leading the end-to-end design of data-rich products and visualizations within the renewable energy procurement platform, focusing on creating intuitive, innovative, and user-centered solutions to support energy buyers, developers, and financiers in making data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product design process from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration and user experience of data products and visualizations.
- Conduct user research to understand needs and translate insights into accessible design solutions for complex data.
- Develop innovative design solutions using emerging technologies to improve user experience in renewable energy procurement.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to align design with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Create and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across all product lines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience designing data-rich experiences for B2B customers and applications in a startup environment.
- Deep empathy for users and a passion for understanding their needs to create intuitive and impactful design solutions for complex data.
- Ability to balance between more elegant versus scrappy, iterative solutions based on user and business needs.
- Understanding of the art of prioritization and the ability to break apart large projects into meaningful, smaller pieces.
- Strong partnership experience with product management and engineering, with the ability to fluently speak to business and product needs and technical implications.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries such as Highcharts, Tableau, Omni, and a basic understanding of data structures and databases.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UI/UX design, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
