A Senior CFD Engineer responsible for thermal-fluid analysis of heat exchangers, managing the entire CFD workflow, and providing insights to optimize hardware design for nuclear plants.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thermal-fluid analysis for heat exchangers from initial sizing to detailed geometry design
Manage the entire CFD workflow, including simulation setup, execution, and result interpretation
Generate trade studies and provide recommendations to inform hardware design decisions
Analyze simulation results to assess ΔP, effectiveness, flow distribution, and hot spots
Improve the efficiency and consistency of modeling and communicating CFD results
Requirements
Experience in thermal-fluid analysis related to heat exchangers, including first-pass sizing and detailed geometry decisions.
Ability to own the CFD workflow end-to-end, from simulation setup to analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in turning CFD simulation results into clear trade studies and technical recommendations that inform hardware design, including parameters such as ΔP, effectiveness, flow distribution, and hot spots.
Demonstrated ability to improve the speed and consistency of CFD modeling and communication of results.
