Job Description
A Senior CFD Engineer responsible for thermal-fluid analysis of heat exchangers, managing the entire CFD workflow, and providing insights to optimize hardware design for nuclear plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal-fluid analysis for heat exchangers from initial sizing to detailed geometry design
- Manage the entire CFD workflow, including simulation setup, execution, and result interpretation
- Generate trade studies and provide recommendations to inform hardware design decisions
- Analyze simulation results to assess ΔP, effectiveness, flow distribution, and hot spots
- Improve the efficiency and consistency of modeling and communicating CFD results
Requirements
- Experience in thermal-fluid analysis related to heat exchangers, including first-pass sizing and detailed geometry decisions.
- Ability to own the CFD workflow end-to-end, from simulation setup to analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in turning CFD simulation results into clear trade studies and technical recommendations that inform hardware design, including parameters such as ΔP, effectiveness, flow distribution, and hot spots.
- Demonstrated ability to improve the speed and consistency of CFD modeling and communication of results.
