Job Description
The Senior CFD Engineer will be responsible for performing thermal-fluid analysis of heat exchangers, managing the entire CFD workflow, and providing insights to optimize hardware design for nuclear plant components.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thermal-fluid analysis of heat exchangers from initial sizing to detailed geometry design
- Manage the entire CFD workflow, including simulation setup, execution, and analysis
- Translate CFD simulation results into trade studies and design recommendations for hardware optimization
Requirements
- Experience in thermal-fluid analysis related to heat exchangers, including first-pass sizing and detailed geometry decisions.
- Ability to own the CFD workflow end-to-end, from simulation setup to analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in turning CFD simulation results into clear trade studies and recommendations that directly inform hardware design, including ΔP, effectiveness, flow distribution, and hot spots.
- Demonstrated ability to improve the speed and consistency of CFD modeling and communication of results.
