Job Description
A Nuclear Controls Engineer responsible for developing control requirements, guiding instrumentation and operator interface design, and ensuring safe and reliable control performance for pilot reactor systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of control requirements for pilot reactor systems
- Guide instrumentation and operator interface design
- Ensure safe, reliable, and responsive control performance
- Define control system requirements and evaluate technical alternatives
- Coordinate across technical disciplines to integrate control systems
Requirements
- Experience in leading the development of control requirements for reactor systems or similar nuclear or industrial control systems
- Deep understanding of reactor dynamics and controls engineering principles
- Practical controls engineering expertise related to instrumentation and operator interface design
- Ability to define control system requirements and evaluate technical alternatives
- Experience coordinating across multiple technical disciplines in control system development
- Knowledge of ensuring safe, reliable, and responsive control performance in nuclear or similar critical systems
