Job Description
A Senior Mid Software Engineer at Kraken is responsible for shaping the technical direction of new energy-related products, utilizing modern technologies to develop impactful solutions that promote a sustainable energy future within a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken
- Apply modern technologies to develop impactful projects in the energy sector
- Contribute to building and maintaining scalable, stable software solutions using Python, Django, and related frameworks
- Participate in continuous deployment and infrastructure management using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, UX experts, and designers to deliver energy solutions
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for server-side development.
- Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL Graphene.
- Experience working with Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure.
- Familiarity with continuous deployment tools including Github, CircleCI, ArgoCD, and Spacelift.
- Understanding of immutable infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and measurement tools such as Loggly, Sentry, and DataDog.
- Ability to shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken.
- Demonstrated ability to work on challenging and impactful projects from the ground up.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including server-side, client-side, and mobile engineers, UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
