Job Description
A Senior Mid Software Engineer at Kraken is responsible for shaping the technical direction of new energy-focused products, utilizing modern technologies to develop impactful solutions that contribute to a sustainable energy future within a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken
- Apply modern technologies to develop impactful projects in the energy sector
- Contribute to building and maintaining software solutions using Python, Django, and related frameworks
- Participate in continuous deployment and infrastructure management using tools like Kubernetes, Github, CircleCI, and Terraform
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, UX experts, and designers to develop energy system solutions
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for server-side development.
- Experience working with Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL Graphene for web development.
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS for deploying and managing applications.
- Familiarity with continuous deployment pipelines using tools such as Github, CircleCI, ArgoCD, and Spacelift.
- Ability to contribute to shaping the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken.
- Experience working on challenging and impactful projects from the ground up in a team environment.
- Strong understanding of modern technologies applied to energy sector solutions, particularly in renewable energy, smart grids, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment utilizing tools such as Slack, Notion, Google Docs, and Asana.
- Understanding of performance and stability monitoring tools such as Loggly, Sentry, and DataDog.
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill development in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal eligibility to work in the relevant country (implied by the need to work within Kraken's operational regions).
