Security Engineering Lead - Cloud and Resilience

• Manage and mentor a functional security engineering team (4-6 engineers), fostering a culture of open communication and inclusion. • Set cloud security and resilience objectives and metrics and work within and across the teams to develop solutions to achieve them. • Act as the primary lead for disaster recovery program orchestration, aligning Platform, Infrastructure, and Engineering squads. • Influence engineering teams to embed security and "design-for-failure" patterns into platform and application lifecycles and coordinate continuous resilience testing. • Align strategies and operations for a “secure-by-default” strategy from the perspective of overall technical resiliency. • Lead hands-on development of internal security tooling and provide architectural guidance to improve platform and application security across Kraken products and environments. • Convert security root-cause analyses into actionable engineering tasks that satisfy global compliance mandates.

• Proven leadership experience in security engineering and/or large-scale technical program orchestration across global teams. • Deep expertise in cloud security best practices (specifically AWS), incident management, and resilience engineering. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to align diverse technical teams and translate complex risks for executive leadership. • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and threat modeling frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
