Job Description
A Data Platform Engineer responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, sources, and workflows to support self-service analytics, machine learning, and data processing for a global energy company's innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data platform, pipelines, and data sources
- Automate data processing workflows, including ETL jobs and machine learning tasks
- Support the processing of large-scale data, such as smart meter readings and customer communications
- Enable self-service data analytics for clients
Requirements
- Experience as a data engineer with a proven track record of building and maintaining data platforms, pipelines, and data sources.
- Ability to work across the entire customer domain, including processing billions of smart meter readings every day and supporting natural language understanding of customer communications.
- Experience automating data processing workflows, including simple ETL jobs and machine learning training and prediction.
- Strong technical skills in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data sources.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining data platforms that support self-service data analytics for users.
- Ability to contribute to the development of data solutions that support creating customized and market-leading smart energy tariffs.
- Experience working with large-scale data processing and analytics in a cloud or distributed environment.
- Knowledge of data processing workflows from simple ETL to advanced ML training and prediction.
- Strong problem-solving skills related to data engineering and data platform development.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to support the expansion of data offerings in volume, scope, and geographical range.
