A Senior Production Biologist responsible for ensuring high-quality care and welfare of yellowtail kingfish in a recirculating aquaculture system, focusing on system optimization, maintenance, quality control, and supporting sustainable fish production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care for yellowtail kingfish within the RAS facility
Optimize and maintain production and life support systems
Manage feeding according to rearing strategy
Assist with fish transfers and grading
Ensure and improve biosecurity measures
Conduct quality control and assurance related to fish welfare
Participate in shift work including day, night, and weekend shifts
Requirements
Provide high quality care of yellowtail kingfish within an RAS facility in Kats, Zeeland, ensuring optimal circumstances for fish welfare.
Involved in system optimization and maintenance of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and life support systems.
Manage feeding of the fish according to the rearing strategy.
Assist with fish transfers and grading procedures.
Ensure and optimize biosecurity measures within the facility.
Work as part of a shift system, including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts, with a regular workday start at 7.00 AM.
Possess the legal right to work in the Netherlands or EU countries (applications open only to residents of these regions).
