The Project Operations Technician is responsible for coordinating and supervising on-site project activities, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting technical solutions and modifications within a sustainable aquaculture environment to help advance the company's fish production initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate execution-phase activities with internal departments and third-party contractors
Plan and organize on-site tasks according to the project execution plan
Act as the primary on-site contact for stakeholders and contractors
Provide progress, status, and deviation updates to stakeholders
Manage site logistics and ensure safe operations
Prepare, monitor, and close work permits in collaboration with relevant departments
Manage contractor site access, inductions, and sign-in procedures
Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment on-site
Monitor on-site work for compliance with scope and safety rules
Intervene in unsafe conditions or scope deviations and report incidents
Develop and implement technical solutions for small MOC projects
Support installation, modification, and commissioning activities during project execution
Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving during execution and commissioning
Requirements
Experience in coordinating execution-phase activities in collaboration with internal departments and third-party contractors.
Ability to plan and organize on-site tasks in line with the project execution plan and critical works plan.
Acting as the primary point of contact on site for internal stakeholders and third-party contractors.
Providing structured progress, status, and deviation updates to relevant stakeholders.
Coordinating site logistics, including cranes, lifting and hoisting equipment, access control, and safe operations relating to the project.
Ensuring that all required work permits are prepared, approved, issued, monitored, and closed in consultation with relevant departments.
Managing contractor site access, inductions, and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Ensuring the availability and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and gas detectors on site.
Monitoring on-site execution to ensure compliance with scope, safety rules, and working procedures.
Intervening when unsafe conditions or scope deviations occur and reporting incidents or deviations in line with company procedures.
Independently developing and implementing technical solutions for smaller Management of Change (MOC) projects, including design, preparation, execution, and close-out, in collaboration with technical departments.
Supporting installation and modification activities during project execution.
Assisting with field commissioning, testing, and start-up activities where required.
Supporting troubleshooting and practical problem-solving during execution and commissioning, ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders.
Possession of relevant technical knowledge and experience related to project execution, safety, and technical solutions in a marine aquaculture or similar industrial environment.
