The Material Co-ordinator is responsible for managing inventory, facilitating the movement of goods, conducting quality checks, and supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced energy storage manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the distribution of goods in and out of the warehouse
Load and unload trucks, and move inventory using equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts, and gantry cranes
Check and receive goods into the system, ensuring accurate inventory records
Maintain adequate stock levels to support manufacturing operations
Conduct physical inventory checks, verify stock counts, and investigate discrepancies
Perform general storekeeping duties following health and safety procedures
Ensure QA checks are completed and documentation is accurate for incoming finished products
Inspect mechanical assemblies visually and dimensionally according to specifications
Manage MRB (Material Review Board) processes and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when necessary
Schedule and record calibration of tools used in manufacturing
Support stock rotation procedures such as FIFO or LIFO
Perform general administrative tasks related to manufacturing and inventory management
Requirements
Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
Experience in Process Systems complying with standard operating procedures and contributing to the development and future improvements where appropriate.
Must be organised, methodical and flexible in supporting various functional teams - engineering, purchasing, finance, installation.
Good working knowledge of safe working practices within a Stores Operations site.
Physically fit so that you can comfortably perform manual tasks safely.
Good communication skills, a good work ethic and team working skills.
Good numeracy and literacy skills and keen attention to detail.
Good computer skills using Microsoft Office applications with the ability to pick things up quickly.
Proven experience of working within a fast-paced operation.
An aptitude for and interest in hands-on mechanical tasks.
Possession of a forklift and electric pallet truck license (or willingness to undertake full training to obtain these licenses).
