Job Description

The Material Co-ordinator is responsible for managing inventory, facilitating the movement of goods, conducting quality checks, and supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced energy storage manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the distribution of goods in and out of the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks, and move inventory using equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts, and gantry cranes
  • Check and receive goods into the system, ensuring accurate inventory records
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to support manufacturing operations
  • Conduct physical inventory checks, verify stock counts, and investigate discrepancies
  • Perform general storekeeping duties following health and safety procedures
  • Ensure QA checks are completed and documentation is accurate for incoming finished products
  • Inspect mechanical assemblies visually and dimensionally according to specifications
  • Manage MRB (Material Review Board) processes and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when necessary
  • Schedule and record calibration of tools used in manufacturing
  • Support stock rotation procedures such as FIFO or LIFO
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to manufacturing and inventory management

Requirements

  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in Process Systems complying with standard operating procedures and contributing to the development and future improvements where appropriate.
  • Must be organised, methodical and flexible in supporting various functional teams - engineering, purchasing, finance, installation.
  • Good working knowledge of safe working practices within a Stores Operations site.
  • Physically fit so that you can comfortably perform manual tasks safely.
  • Good communication skills, a good work ethic and team working skills.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Office applications with the ability to pick things up quickly.
  • Proven experience of working within a fast-paced operation.
  • An aptitude for and interest in hands-on mechanical tasks.
  • Possession of a forklift and electric pallet truck license (or willingness to undertake full training to obtain these licenses).
