The Regional Business Development Manager for the Midwest is responsible for expanding Highland Electric Fleets' electric fleet solutions by building relationships with local communities, municipalities, and fleet operators, supporting business growth and promoting the adoption of cleaner transportation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop business opportunities within the Midwest region for electric fleet solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with school districts, municipalities, and fleet operators.
Promote and sell Highland Electric Fleets' Electrification-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions.
Support the expansion of electric fleet adoption through outreach and engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective electrification solutions to clients.
Requirements
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the electric vehicle, fleet management, or transportation industry, with a demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities in the Midwest region.
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand Highland Electric Fleets' presence and customer base within the Midwest region.
Strong understanding of electric fleet solutions, vehicle-to-grid technology, and related industry trends, with the ability to communicate technical and business value propositions effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build relationships with school districts, municipalities, and fleet operators.
Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities, manage a pipeline of prospects, and close deals within the target region.
Willingness and ability to travel within the Midwest region as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development activities.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets or business growth objectives in a regional or territory-based role.
Physical ability to conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and industry events as part of business development efforts.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
