• Act as the company’s on-site advocate for EV’s and EVSBs, striving to achieve 90% overall uptime
• Represent the company at customer locations with the highest standards of professional conduct
• Retains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to management
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs electric vehicle and charger repairs (e.g. adjust/test steering, electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, power steering units, etc.) and related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial and local guidelines and requirements. Test-drives vehicles to ensure repair resolved
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation for troubleshooting and repairs, records time and materials used for each assignment in asset management platform
• Assist in managing of external support vendors to follow up and document repairs being made to Highland’s assets
• Provides repair and maintenance assistance to junior technician staff
• Performs road calls and on the road repairs as assigned.
• Undergo electric vehicle and charger OEM and internal trainings
• Minimum of 5+ years Electrician, Electric Vehicle, or Medium/Heavy duty truck Fleet repair experience
• Advanced Diagnostic, Electrical, and AC skills required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Knowledge of MS Suite products
• Possess the recommended tools for a Medium Duty technician as well as electrical diagnostics tooling
• Flexibility to work bus depot hours (early morning to afternoon) and weekends (when on scheduled shift)
• Clean Driving Record is required
• Requirements within 12 months of employment: Commercial Driver’s License Required / Minimum 3 ASE certifications required (bonus compensation available if greater) / and Minimum of 4 OEM Certifications required (bonus compensation available if greater)
