Job Description
The Utilities Equipment Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving industrial utility systems within a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe and efficient support for plant operations through hands-on equipment management and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of utility maintenance engineers and technicians
- Manage daily inspection and operation of industrial utility and general equipment
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot utility equipment such as air compressors, nitrogen generation systems, vacuum pumps, dust collection, VOC exhaust, and wastewater treatment systems
- Diagnose and resolve equipment abnormalities and failures to ensure high equipment availability
- Support daily operation, commissioning, and performance optimization of utility systems
- Lead technical improvement initiatives and reliability enhancements for utility equipment
- Maintain equipment documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records
- Coordinate with production, facilities, and EHS teams to support manufacturing operations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial utilities, facilities, or equipment engineering.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following systems: Air compressors, Nitrogen generators, Vacuum pumps, Central dust collection systems, VOC exhaust treatment systems, Wastewater treatment systems and processes.
- Solid understanding of the operating principles and structure of general industrial utility equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 plus bonus and benefits
Work schedule: Shift work or night shift availability
