Job Description
The SAP Finance Business Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Finance and Controlling modules to optimize financial processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless integration within the company's manufacturing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of SAP FI CO solutions tailored to the packaging and distribution industry.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business needs and identify process improvements.
- Gather and analyze detailed requirements for SAP FI CO modules, ensuring alignment with industry-specific needs.
- Configure solutions in SAP Finance and Controlling modules, including GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, and Profit Center Accounting.
- Develop functional specifications for custom developments, reports, interfaces, and workflows.
- Ensure seamless integration between FI CO and other SAP modules like MM, SD, and WM.
- Provide guidance and mentorship on SAP FI CO best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct user training and develop documentation for end-users.
- Participate in SAP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Support SAP FI-CO projects from requirements gathering to rollout and training.
- Resolve SAP issues, change requests, and system enhancements in collaboration with support teams.
- Perform business process mapping, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of production issues.
- Collaborate with business groups to resolve finance-related issues and develop improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- Participate in FICO configuration, functional documentation, testing plans, system documentation and training materials.
- Create and maintain documentation on SAP FICO business processes.
- Support SAP FI-CO projects from requirements gathering, solution design, specifications development, testing and rollout and training.
- Support all key integration areas with Finance and controlling, including SAP modules such as SD, MM, and WM.
- Willingness to learn related applications and integration technologies that contribute to the end-to-end process integration with SAP.
- Perform business process mapping using standard methodologies.
- Investigate to help quickly diagnose, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues.
- Conduct quality testing and work with users to gain user acceptance testing.
- Support SAP FI-CO projects through requirements gathering, solution design, specifications development, testing, rollout, and training.
- Liaise with the global SAP support team on overall FI-CO support and projects.
- Collaborate directly with business groups to resolve finance-related issues and develop recommendations to address issues.
- Support all key integration areas with Finance and controlling.
- Minimum of 1 year of SAP finance functional experience required.
- At least 1 year of experience in implementation or leading SAP finance related efforts.
- Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or business streams.
- Knowledge of all integration points with other modules like SD and MM with SAP FICO.
- Experience with system management processes, business requirements gathering, solution design and configuration, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience creating business process diagrams including business process procedures as necessary.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
