Job Description
A System Engineer at Gotion Inc. focuses on designing and developing high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration, safety, and compliance within a fast-growing battery industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in RFQ/RFI processes by preparing technical input and documentation
- Develop a compliance matrix to decompose system requirements for evaluation
- Create ADV plans to verify customer requirements
- Analyze customer drivecycles and electrical requirements for electrical electronics teams
- Liaise with the life simulation team to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration, including mechanical, thermal, software, and testing
- Support DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262
- Collaborate with global teams and visit suppliers or OEM sites as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the battery or EV industry, preferably in a Design and development, systems or validation role
- Exposure to high-voltage battery systems (400 to 1000V) including pack or module-level design
- Basic understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS), CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols
- Working knowledge of automotive product development cycles
- Participation in RFQ and RFI processes by preparing technical input and documentation
- Development of a compliance matrix to decompose system level requirements to subteams for evaluation
- Development of ADV plan to verify customer requirements
- Analysis of customer drivecycles and translation of electrical requirements to electrical electronics teams
- Liaison with the life simulation team to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams including mechanical, thermal, software, and testing teams to ensure complete system integration
- Support for DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, including visits to suppliers and OEM sites both domestically and internationally
- Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills in English
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $90,000.00 - $128,000.00 with 15% bonus
