Job Description
A System Engineer at Gotion Inc. will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, safety, and compliance throughout the product development cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in RFQ/RFI processes by preparing technical input and documentation
- Develop a compliance matrix to decompose system requirements for evaluation
- Create ADV plans to verify customer requirements
- Analyze customer drive cycles and translate electrical requirements to electrical electronics teams
- Liaise with the life simulation team to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, thermal, software, testing) for system integration
- Support DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262
- Collaborate with global teams and visit suppliers or OEM sites as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the battery or EV industry, preferably in a Design and development, systems or validation role
- Exposure to high-voltage battery systems (400 to 1000V) including pack or module-level design
- Basic understanding of BMS, CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols
- Working knowledge of automotive product development cycles
- Participating in RFQ RFI processes by preparing technical input and documentation
- Developing a compliance matrix to decompose system level requirements to subteams for evaluation
- Developing ADV plan to verify customer requirements
- Analyzing customer drivecycles and flowing electrical requirements to electrical electronics teams
- Liaison between the life simulation team to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical, thermal, software, and testing to ensure complete system integration
- Supporting DFMEA, DVP R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262
- Collaborating with global teams, including limited travel to suppliers or OEM sites
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, including visits to suppliers and OEMs, both domestic and international

Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $128,000 with 15% bonus
