Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor oversees and leads the maintenance of industrial electrical systems up to 480V in a manufacturing plant, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency while managing a team of electricians and engineers in a hands-on, field-oriented role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support daily electrical maintenance activities for industrial power systems up to 480V
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and electrical engineers across shifts
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, NEC, OSHA, and company procedures
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs, and industrial equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams
- Coordinate maintenance planning, breakdown response, and preventive maintenance activities
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and electrical upgrades
- Train and mentor electricians, promoting skill development and safe work practices
- Communicate with engineering, production, and EHS teams to support plant operations
Requirements
- Valid Electrical License Journeyman Electrician certification recognized by the state.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
- Strong practical background developed through field work rather than purely academic training.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Experience leading or supervising electricians or technical staff.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical codes and safety requirements, including compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus and benefits
