Job Description
The HVAC Utilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and supervision of industrial HVAC systems within a manufacturing facility, leading a team to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with production and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise operation and maintenance of industrial HVAC systems, including central plant, air handling units, and dehumidification units
- Manage mechanical systems related to HVAC, such as piping and ductwork
- Lead and develop HVAC team of engineers and technicians
- Ensure HVAC systems meet production, environmental, and safety standards
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs of HVAC equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and HVAC schematics
- Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of HVAC systems
- Collaborate with facilities, production, and EHS teams to support plant operations
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records for HVAC systems
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with industrial HVAC systems in manufacturing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Desiccant Dehumidification Units (DHUs), and factory air conditioning systems.
- Experience with mechanical systems, including piping and ductwork maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and HVAC drawings, including mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and HVAC schematics.
- Practical background developed through field or technical roles related to HVAC or mechanical systems.
- Experience leading or supervising technical staff such as engineers and technicians.
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $80,000 - $100,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
