Job Description
The Supply Chain Director at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading and executing the end-to-end supply chain strategy for the company's new EV battery manufacturing facility, overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory management, supplier relationships, and process improvements to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategy aligned with plant objectives
- Lead procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, and supplier quality teams
- Manage domestic and global supplier relationships
- Oversee demand forecasting, MRP, safety stock levels, and inventory optimization
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics for timely, accurate, and cost-effective material flow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to align supply chain with business goals
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and KPIs
- Mentor and develop supply chain team talent
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 to 15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing or EV automotive industries
- Experience managing global supply chains, sourcing strategy, logistics, and inventory management
- Proficient with ERP MRP systems and supply chain analytics
- Strong leadership, team development, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to be based in Manteno, IL, with occasional travel
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $180,000 - $230,000 USD
