Job Description
This role involves providing technical pre-sales support and account management for energy storage systems (ESS) projects, collaborating with sales, R&D, and customers to ensure successful design, implementation, and product improvement of ESS solutions in a global green energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support for customer account engagements, including documentation development and training.
- Manage pre- and post-sales technical account activities to ensure successful ESS solution adoption and business growth.
- Support utility-scale and commercial projects with customized design solutions to secure design wins and reduce costs.
- Collect and communicate feedback on product issues to R&D and Product Management for continuous improvement.
- Lead development of technical training and tools for market adoption and best practices.
- Coordinate field testing and gather feedback on new hardware and software products.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to address technical issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers and partners on ESS system applications and system integration.
- Develop technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and proposals.
- Work with sales teams to prioritize opportunities and provide technical support to secure project wins.
- Coordinate with R&D and design teams to ensure product readiness and competitive positioning.
- Partner with Product Management to develop technical tools and drive their adoption across sales and partners.
- Act as a technical liaison for customer feedback and product improvement suggestions.
- Manage the technical pipeline to ensure appropriate support for qualified projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or a Master of Science (MS) degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in ESS engineering design, technical pre-sales support, and project management.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subject matter with external partners and customers.
- Strong networking and communication expertise.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally, domestically, and at times internationally.
