Job Description
The role involves building and leading a marketing and sales team focused on energy storage systems (ESS), developing project best practices, managing relationships with key industry stakeholders, and driving business development efforts in the energy storage sector globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a marketing and sales team, collaborating with technical personnel internally and externally
- Develop and implement best practices for BESS projects across various product lines
- Serve as a domain expert on BESS, reviewing and approving project solutions in collaboration with ESS partners
- Create metrics and targets to improve project delivery and track progress
- Identify new markets, monitor construction progress, and report status to the global team
- Participate in industry conferences and maintain industry connections to stay updated on market trends
- Develop relationships with key technology vendors and negotiate contracts with customers, partners, vendors, and subcontractors
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Business Development.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or other related field.
- Two years of experience in the energy sector, specifically Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Experience working in a startup or similar environment.
- Global experience and an understanding of multicultural nuances that drive the decision-making process.
- Ability to build a functional team specialized in marketing and sales while interacting with technical personnel internally and externally.
- Develop and implement best practices for small to large Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects for all product lines, including residential, commercial, industrial, utility scale, and UPS.
- Act as a domain expert on BESS, cooperate with parent ESS related parties, review and challenge financial considerations, and approve the optimal solution for projects.
- Develop metrics and targets for achieving continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Establish methods for tracking construction progress, acquisition opportunities, and new market identification, and present the report status to the global team.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking committees, and maintain close connection to trends in the competitive market.
- Develop relationships with key technology vendors in the battery energy storage industry, including procurement, construction, and EPC.
- Negotiate contracts with key customers, partners, vendors, consultants, installation subcontractors to leverage and scale Gotion’s ESS competitive position in the world.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 USD
