Job Description
The QMS Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for developing and maintaining the quality management system, conducting audits, analyzing quality data, and driving continuous improvement to ensure high-quality production in the battery manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the QMS system architecture based on organizational structure.
- Establish and manage quality system documents, including the quality manual and procedures.
- Organize and oversee internal quality system audits and management reviews.
- Coordinate certification processes with third-party agencies and manage certification audits.
- Identify quality trends and potential issues, and propose preventive measures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and verify corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement standard inspection guidelines.
- Maintain records of quality activities, reports, audits, and corrective actions.
- Track industry best practices and promote process improvements to enhance quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering in the manufacturing industry, with priority given to those with experience in battery or automotive battery industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in building a QMS system architecture based on the organizational structure
- Experience in establishing quality system documents including a quality manual based on factory requirements and company background
- Responsibility for organizing the related functions for procedure document cross checking and sign-off, and maintaining ongoing operations
- Experience in organizing internal quality system audits and management reviews
- Experience coordinating with third-party training and certification agencies, organizing certification document submission, and managing certification audits until certificate release
- Proficiency in quality tools, especially in APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and MSA
- Familiarity with VDA6.3 is preferred
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 (base salary)
