Job Description
The Program Manager at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of vehicle and energy storage system programs from initial RFI/RFQ stages through to production, ensuring customer satisfaction, meeting project objectives, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining program profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire program lifecycle from RFI/RFQ to 6 months post-production, ensuring customer satisfaction and achievement of timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, negotiate terms, and act as the official Gotion representative.
- Prepare and submit RFQs, build and monitor the Business Plan, define investment schemes, and manage program budgets and deviations.
- Track program progress through dashboards, reports, and reviews; conduct risk and opportunity analyses and implement action plans.
- Resolve conflicts with customers on financial and technical issues.
- Staff, manage, and coordinate a cross-functional team across departments such as sales, controlling, purchasing, quality, production, supply chain, design, and engineering.
- Ensure adherence to Gotion’s Program Management System (PMS) processes and develop synergies among team members.
- Organize communication and information flow throughout the program lifecycle.
- Oversee the smooth transfer of the program from development to production and contribute to knowledge management.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Master's degree, ideally in engineering or program management.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of job experience in vehicle assembly plant, vehicle product development center, Tier 1 supplier, energy storage system solution providers, or similar industrial environment, with product experience considered a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project experience.
- Results orientation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Conflict management skills with the ability to prevent and solve conflicts.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- Good knowledge of project management processes, standards, tools, and methods.
- Ability to establish, develop, lead, and unite a team.
- Strong financial knowledge including building and following a Business Plan.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques.
- Strategic and analytic capabilities.
- Planning and organizing abilities.
- Willingness to do overseas traveling.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with customers, including negotiations and representing Gotion as the official global product representative.
- Ability to prepare and submit RFQ to management, liaise with the Program Controller, build Business Plans, define investment schemes, and manage investments in compliance with controlling procedures.
- Ability to launch and monitor program progress by updating Business Plans, Program Dashboards, and Budget Reports, and leading reviews of program steps and results.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analysis and develop and implement appropriate action plans.
- Arbitrate conflicts with customers on financial and technical issues.
- Staff, manage, and coordinate a cross-functional program team including Sales, Controlling, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Design, and Product Process Engineering, and define team objectives and assignments.
- Ensure processes defined in the Gotion Global Product Program Management System (PMS) are applied at all steps and develop synergies between all actors involved in the program.
- Organize communications throughout the program lifecycle.
- Ensure smooth transfer of the program from Development Center to Production Plant.
- Organize key program information to ensure program continuity and contribute to knowledge management.
- Fully understand and abide by the contents of the Code of Conduct distributed by Gotion.

Compensation/salary range: $100,000 - $200,000 USD
