Job Description
A Production Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes and outputs in the battery industry by analyzing data, managing non-conforming products, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze production and quality data to identify trends and potential issues
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and verify corrective and preventive measures
- Manage non-conforming products, including determination, documentation, rework, and repair processes
- Ensure implementation of control plans, including inspection standards and corrective actions
- Train operators on quality processes and standards in production
- Inspect production processes regularly to identify risks and recommend improvements
- Supervise inspectors and conduct hierarchical audits based on control plans
- Develop and maintain standard inspection guidelines
- Maintain records of quality activities, reports, audits, and corrective actions
- Monitor industry best practices and promote factory quality systems and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering in the manufacturing industry, with priority given to those with experience in battery or automotive battery industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with quality management systems ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.
- Familiarity with Kaizen and CAPA
- Familiarity with DOE solving tools
- Mastered quality tools and methods such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, etc.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, with familiarity in quality management software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as a team member

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 (base salary)
