Job Description
The Production Planner will coordinate manufacturing schedules and analyze capacity to support battery module and cell production at Gotion's Illinois facility, ensuring efficient operations and strategic capacity planning in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage production schedules aligned with demand and capacity
- Analyze production capacity and demand to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve production processes
- Respond to production shortfalls and material shortages with impact assessments and solutions
- Generate and publish production performance metrics and forecasts
- Communicate production plans, revisions, and performance to stakeholders
- Assist in implementing inventory control solutions to optimize inventory flow
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering Operations, Supply Chain management or the equivalent experience
- Demonstrated high volume production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 1 year experience structuring and building analytical models
- Ability to create clear and impactful reports and PowerPoint presentations, effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement in operations and reporting information visibility
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams, and Office including Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred
- The role requires creating 0-1 production schedules that align with demand and capacity, analyzing production capacity and demand to inform strategic decisions, and collaborating with manufacturing and support teams to develop and improve processes
- Responding to unexpected changes such as production shortfalls or material shortages by providing information, impact assessments, and options to downstream shops
- Generating and publishing production performance metrics and forecasts to identify potential supply chain risks
- Communicating production plans, revisions, and performance to stakeholders, including manufacturing, support, and business teams
- Assisting in implementing inventory control solutions to minimize shortages and optimize inventory flow
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 with a 15% bonus
