Job Description
The Production Planner at Gotion Inc. is responsible for scheduling and analyzing production processes for battery module manufacturing, supporting capacity planning, process improvements, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage production schedules aligned with demand and capacity
- Analyze production capacity and demand to support strategic planning
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve production processes
- Respond to production shortfalls and material shortages with impact assessments and solutions
- Generate and communicate production performance metrics and forecasts
- Assist in implementing inventory control to minimize shortages and optimize flow
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering Operations, Supply Chain management or the equivalent experience
- Demonstrated high volume production planning experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 1 year experience structuring and building analytical models
- Ability to create clear and impactful reports and PowerPoint presentations, effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement in operations and reporting information visibility
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams, Office including Excel with experience using VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred
- Ability to analyze production capacity and demand to inform strategic decisions and roadmap planning
- Ability to collaborate with manufacturing and support teams to develop and improve processes, including production batch sizes, material transfer, and controls
- Ability to respond to unexpected changes such as production shortfalls or material shortages by providing information, impact assessments, and options to downstream shops
- Ability to generate and publish production performance metrics and forecasts to identify potential supply chain risks
- Ability to communicate production plans, revisions, and performance to stakeholders, including manufacturing, support, and business teams
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 with 15% bonus
