Job Description
The Process Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes for lithium battery production, ensuring quality standards, and supporting equipment and process improvements during production ramp-up and operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in selecting process flow, equipment, and technical agreements for manufacturing.
- Manage engineering and technical issues during production trial runs and ramp-up phases.
- Compile and review process documentation, including flowcharts, standards, and work instructions.
- Solve on-site process problems and update quality issue lists to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate, verify, and introduce new equipment and technologies into the production line.
- Develop and analyze data from process experiments, and prepare reports.
- Conduct training on relevant knowledge and skills for production line employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in electrochemistry, physical materials, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of process engineer relevant working experience.
- Proficiency in process improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, process optimization, and quick problem-solving.
- Familiarity with the IATF 16949 quality system and process control methods, including proficiency in Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, and familiarity with APQP, MSA, and PPAP.
- Familiarity with FTA and the seven QC tools, and knowledge of 8D and 6 Sigma management tools.
- Strong ability in data collection, organization, and analysis, with logical thinking and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills, team working ability, and resource search capability during production trial run and capacity ramp-up.
- Knowledge of principles of lithium-ion batteries and the cell manufacturing process is preferred.
- Ability to compile and review documents such as process flowcharts, process standards, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in solving on-site process problems in the cell production line and updating quality issue lists to prevent recurrence.
- Experience in evaluating, verifying, and introducing new equipment and technologies for each process to the cell production line.
- Ability to develop plans for process experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize reports.
- Experience in conducting relevant knowledge and skills training for production line employees.

Compensation/salary range: $70,000 - $120,000 annually
