Job Description

The Quality Technician at Gotion Inc. is responsible for performing inspections, calibrations, and gauging to ensure product conformance, supporting quality assurance processes, and assisting with tooling and process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document incoming, in-process, and final inspection gauging to ensure product conformance.
Apply knowledge of GD T, metrology, MSA, GR R, and SPC to verify product measurements.
Resolve inspection issues and answer questions from operators, inspectors, and engineers.
Train other inspectors and technicians in inspection procedures and tools.
Participate in projects related to tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Create instructions for using inspection tools and systems.
Provide inspection support across departments, including part inspection and FAI assistance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Knowledge of reading blueprints and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD T).
Knowledge of mechanical inspection and proficiency in the use of manual visual inspection equipment such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, digital indicators, surface plates, microscopes, and profilometers.
Good verbal and written communication skills, data entry skills, and being detail-oriented.
Ability to work in a team environment and foster positive relationships with all functional groups.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of travelers and work instructions.
Desire to learn and apply new skills.
Problem-solving ability with an organized analytical approach.
Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to fast-paced manufacturing demands.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, turn at the waist, reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass static strength requirements for grip.
Visual acuity including near acuity (clarity of vision at 20 inches or less), far acuity (clarity of vision at 20 feet or more), depth perception (three-dimensional vision), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision (observing an area while eyes are fixed on a point).
