Job Description
The role involves managing the workflow and operations of the Measurement and Testing Laboratory, ensuring proper calibration, inspection, and record-keeping of measuring equipment to support manufacturing processes in a battery and automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and ensure the effective operation of workflow in the Measurement and Testing Laboratory
- Execute IQC lab FA lab inspections
- Manage label distribution and ensure proper labeling on equipment and tools
- Establish records and track MSA calibration plans for all measuring equipment
- Coordinate external and internal calibration activities to comply with laws and regulations
- Handle procurement and acceptance of measuring instruments in the factory
Requirements
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring the effective operation of the workflow in the Measurement and Testing Laboratory, ensuring the successful execution of IQC lab FA lab inspections.
- Responsible for label distribution, ensuring effective labeling on equipment and tools.
- Responsible for establishing records and effectively tracking and implementing MSA calibration plans for all measuring equipment within the factory.
- Coordinating external and/or internal calibration activities to comply with relevant laws and calibration regulations.
- Responsible for sporadic procurement and acceptance matters related to measuring instruments in the factory.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
- Preferably have experience in batteries or automotive manufacturing.
- Proficient in instrument testing, calibration, and verification.
- Familiar with measurement requirements of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA standards.
- Organizational and coordination skills to mobilize internal and external resources to address MSA and measurement-related issues.
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $90,000 to $125,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
