Job Description
The Logistics Manager at Gotion Inc. is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, to ensure efficient and cost-effective flow of materials and products within the EV battery manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Manage relationships with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, transportation, and quality regulations.
- Monitor and improve logistics KPIs and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 7 to 10 years of progressive logistics or supply chain management experience, preferably in manufacturing or EV automotive sectors
- Experience with ERP MRP systems and logistics software
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to be based in Manteno, IL, with occasional travel
- Highlight knowledge of dangerous goods UN38.3, hazmat, DOT due to battery material handling
