Job Description
The IT Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, manage IT teams and vendor relationships, ensure cybersecurity and compliance, and facilitate global collaboration between U.S. and Chinese teams in a manufacturing environment focused on advanced battery technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN infrastructure to ensure network performance and security
- Lead and guide the IT team responsible for Helpdesk, MES, and Infrastructure functions
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect data and prevent breaches
- Coordinate with global IT teams to align strategies and standards, and review implementations with leadership
- Oversee hardware, software, and network system upgrades in line with business needs
- Manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure service quality and cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001, TISAX, and relevant data protection and privacy regulations
- Provide escalation support for complex IT issues to ensure timely resolution
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and at least business level Chinese (Mandarin) in written and spoken form is required to support communication with global teams and vendors.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 7 years of IT experience with a focus on network management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within IT.
- Proficiency in managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and VMware.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with managing Cisco LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN infrastructure, ensuring network performance and security.
- Experience with overseeing hardware, software, and networking system upgrades in alignment with business needs.
- Experience in researching, procuring, implementing, and maintaining all companywide software solutions.
- Ability to manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring optimal service levels and cost efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO27001, TISAX, and adherence to local and international data protection and privacy laws.
- Providing escalation support for complex IT issues and ensuring timely resolution.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and hybrid IT environments.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Benefits & Perks
U.S. base salary range of $110,000 to $160,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
