Job Description
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting industrial electrical systems up to 480V in a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe and continuous operation of plant electrical equipment through hands-on field work and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support industrial electrical systems up to 480V
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment failures and abnormal conditions
- Diagnose and resolve plant power distribution issues
- Support installation, commissioning, and start-up of electrical equipment and production lines
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams
- Assist with electrical system optimization and minor modifications
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production, facilities, and EHS teams
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures
- Provide technical guidance and on-site support to electricians or technicians
Requirements
- Valid state-recognized electrician license for Illinois or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems up to 480V.
- Practical background developed through field work as an electrician or electrical technician.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work night shifts or rotating shifts as required.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 plus eligibility for bonus and benefits
