Job Description
The Customer Audit Engineer at Gotion Inc. is responsible for leading customer and internal process audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, managing audit preparations, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement in quality management systems within the electric vehicle and energy storage battery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation, execution, and follow-up of customer factory audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the client audit team and coordinate internal departments for documentation and data gathering.
- Conduct risk identification and self-assessment prior to audits to address potential non-conformities.
- Develop and track action plans to resolve audit findings and high-risk issues promptly.
- Maintain audit documentation and provide updates on audit progress and compliance risks to leadership.
- Plan and execute internal process audits according to industry standards such as VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949.
- Conduct process audits of production lines, record results, and perform root cause analysis on non-conformities.
- Lead implementation of corrective and preventive measures, ensuring closure of audit issues.
- Organize and present audit performance data through visual reports and track continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
- At least 3 years of experience in customer quality management, with experience in the automotive, power battery, or energy storage battery industry preferred
- Deep understanding of VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer audit requirements
- Experience leading internal and external audits, including risk assessment and compliance tracking
- Proficiency in audit documentation, data collection, and reporting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on detail
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across departments
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 (base salary)
