Job Description
The role involves managing the construction of a new electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant, overseeing all phases from planning to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence, while coordinating with stakeholders and complying with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the construction of the new EV battery manufacturing plant from start to finish.
- Develop and implement a construction plan to ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality project completion.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Oversee site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage project budget and track expenses.
- Communicate project progress to senior management and the Chief Engineer.
Requirements
- Develop and implement a construction plan that ensures the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, foundation work, building construction, and installation of equipment, including the shipment and installation of manufacturing machinery.
- Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are met.
- Manage the project budget and track expenses.
- Communicate regularly with the Chief Engineer and other senior management on the progress of the project.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, ideally Native.
- 10 years of experience in construction management.
- At least 5 years of experience on large, complex projects.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, track progress, and manage budgets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
