Job Description
The Chief Engineer at Gotion Inc. leads the development and delivery of advanced battery products for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, ensuring customer satisfaction, product quality, and project success throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and production of battery products to meet customer requirements from RFIs/RFQs through six months post-production
- Ensure customer satisfaction by aligning product development with timing, quality, cost, and delivery objectives while maintaining profitability
- Communicate product advantages to customers and build strong relationships
- Interface between customers and internal teams to coordinate product design, production, quality, and delivery
- Participate in commercial contract discussions and support the customer purchase order process
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and analyze customer integration for quality and reliability improvements
- Support sales with RFI and RFQ processes
- Lead product development activities including APQP, PPAP, ISO TS 16949, and project management
- Conduct competitive analysis and contribute to product offering and contract management
- Travel to customer sites as needed and provide team leadership in product development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with the battery manufacturing process.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrification work experience.
- Knowledge of high voltage batteries, new energy vehicles, and energy storage systems.
- Good oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience at EV component supplier or OEM.
- Responsible as lead for product APQP, PPAP, ISO TS 16949, project management, marketing competition analysis, product knowledge offer, and contract management.
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites as required.
- Team leadership skills.
Benefits & Perks
US base salary range: $130,000.00 - $156,000.00
