Job Description
The role involves designing and developing high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles, focusing on BMS hardware and software integration, system validation, and collaborating with global teams to support next-generation EV technology within a fast-growing battery industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical architecture of high-voltage battery systems, including BMS and CMU.
- Translate customer and system requirements into feasible design and software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration of BMS hardware, software, and communication interfaces.
- Prepare technical input and documentation for RFQ and RFI processes.
- Support BMS hardware integration and communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
- Participate in system validation, electrical testing, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety activities aligned with ISO 26262.
- Provide onsite OEM support for flashing, initial integration, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with global teams, including travel to suppliers and OEM sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the battery or EV industry, preferably in a BMS hardware or software role.
- Exposure to high-voltage battery systems with voltages ranging from 400V to 1000V, including electronic switch design.
- Understanding of Battery Management System (BMS), CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols.
- Working knowledge of automotive product development cycles, including APQP and PPAP processes.
- Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262.
- Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, including visits to suppliers and OEMs, both domestically and internationally.
Benefits & Perks
US base salary range of $90,000.00 - $128,000.00 with 15% bonus benefits
