Job Description
This role involves providing technical pre-sales support and account management for energy storage systems (ESS), collaborating with sales, R&D, and customers to ensure successful project design, implementation, and product development in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support for customer account engagements, including developing documentation and training to ensure high-quality designs.
- Manage pre- and post-sales technical account engagements to develop and communicate comprehensive design, installation, and operational plans.
- Support utility-scale and commercial projects with customized design solutions to secure design wins and optimize cost savings.
- Collect and relay feedback on product technical issues to R&D and Product Management, recommending improvements.
- Lead product management and development of market training and technical tools to promote best practices.
- Coordinate field testing and gather feedback on new hardware and software products.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to address technical issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers on the application of ESS systems and coordinate with partners for system integration.
- Develop technical documentation including specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and proposals.
- Work with sales teams to prioritize technical support for projects, ensuring proper pre-sales design and support.
- Coordinate with R&D and design teams to prepare ESS products for market success.
- Partner with Product Management to develop and promote technical tools and training for sales and partners.
- Act as a sales contact for providing technical feedback to product management and recommending solutions.
- Manage the technical pipeline to ensure qualified projects receive appropriate pre-sales support.
Requirements
- Experience working with Sales Managers to deliver the highest level of quality field customer technical support, enabling account and project wins and ensuring the highest levels of customer support.
- Ability to work closely with the sales team to determine appropriate prioritization of account project opportunities relative to available technical resources and ensure close coordination and communication with the customer.
- Experience leading and managing tasks in the technical pipeline to ensure that all identified qualified projects receive the proper and appropriate level of pre-sales design and technical support.
- Experience working with China-based R&D, design, and pre-sales technical support processes to ensure proactive participation with technical teams on test requirements, procedures, and plans to ensure ESS products are prepared and positioned to win the business.
- Experience leading and collaborating closely with Product Management on broad-based technical tools and training and driving adoption through the sales team, partners, and distributors.
- Experience acting as a sales focal point for input feedback into product management on major product and technical issues and recommended solutions.
- Experience managing a closed-loop process with product management, customer support, and sales on all field pre-sales related topics and issues.
- Educational qualification of BSEE, BSME, or MS preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in ESS engineering design, technical pre-sales support, and project management.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical subject matter with external partners and customers.
- Strong networking and communication expertise.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally, domestically, and internationally as required.
