Job Description
The role involves managing day-to-day aftermarket operations for EV batteries and energy storage systems, including remote service, spare parts planning, reverse logistics, warranty execution, and recycler coordination, with a focus on ensuring service quality, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily aftermarket operations including dispatch, remote diagnostics, and escalation to ensure service KPIs such as uptime, FTF, and MTTR are met.
- Build and maintain inventory planning systems, including PFEP, SOP, min-max levels, and parts BOM accuracy.
- Coordinate reverse logistics, including hazardous shipments and chain-of-custody documentation, and manage repair, remanufacturing, and recycling workflows.
- Oversee operational reporting, warranty claims, and cost tracking, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aftermarket after-sales service operations for EV battery, ESS, or automotive industries.
- At least 2 years of experience leading technicians, analysts, or vendor teams.
- Working knowledge of Li-ion pack basics and field diagnostics commissioning.
- Strong familiarity with PFEP SOP, 3PL scorecards, and CMMS CRM workflows.
- Hands-on experience with hazmat logistics including DOT IATA UN3480, UN3481, and RTP handling with solid documentation discipline.
- Demonstrated safety compliance mindset with knowledge of EPA RCRA Universal Waste, OSHA HV safety, and enforcement of HV safety LOTO procedures.
- Proven KPI ownership including uptime, FTF (First Time Fix), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), parts fill, and service uptime.
- Ability to travel up to 40% for sites, customers, and partners.
