Job Description
A Senior Security Engineer at GoodLeap is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security measures across enterprise systems, products, and processes to ensure the safety, resilience, and compliance of the company's technology infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential misuse and abuse cases of enterprise systems and propose solutions.
- Manage security controls and activities during application development (build-time controls).
- Oversee security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response.
- Design and build security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure system safety and resilience.
- Represent security aspects across governance, risk, compliance, and security monitoring.
Requirements
- Experience in designing and building security patterns and practices for services and processes.
- Ability to identify potential misuse and abuse cases within enterprise systems and propose solutions to address these scenarios.
- Experience managing applications and product security controls during development (build-time controls).
- Experience overseeing security measures at runtime, including prevention, detection, and response (runtime controls).
- Proven ability to manage security aspects related to internally built products and represent all areas of security, including governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and security monitoring.
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with product, engineering, IT, and business teams within the organization.
- Ability to involve and coordinate with other security team members as needed.
- Experience in ensuring the safety and resilience of enterprise systems, products, and services.
- Experience in identifying product features, configuration settings, and implementing mitigating or compensating controls to meet resilience requirements.
- Ability to work in a role that encompasses multiple responsibilities, including advisory, builder, and security pattern design.
- Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with product, business, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers related to the position.
