Job Description
A Principal AI Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling payment platforms and products, with a focus on integrating AI technologies like large language models to automate workflows and enhance customer experiences in a secure and reliable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale the payments platform and customer-facing payment products to ensure security, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless payment experiences
- Shape and execute AI strategy by developing intelligent agents powered by LLMs and other AI technologies
- Implement AI-driven automation to transform payment workflows and enhance product personalization
- Balance immediate product needs with developing long-term platform capabilities to enable scalable innovation
Requirements
- Experience in designing, building, and scaling payments platforms and customer-facing payment products that are secure, reliable, and performant.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless payments experiences that power every transaction.
- Proven expertise in shaping and executing AI strategies involving Agents powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies.
- Experience exploring and implementing how intelligent agents can automate complex workflows and deliver personalized and adaptive product experiences.
- Ability to balance near-term product needs with building long-term platform capabilities that enable innovation at scale.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing AI-powered applications, particularly involving AI agents or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of payments technology and platform architecture.
- Experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in integrating AI technologies into existing payment systems or platforms.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and security requirements related to payment processing systems.
