Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing machine learning models for behavior prediction to enhance the decision-making capabilities of autonomous vehicles, focusing on processing large-scale sensor data and integrating these systems into the broader autonomous driving stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement behavior prediction modules for autonomous vehicles.
- Create and maintain software infrastructure for processing large-scale image and LiDAR data.
- Design and optimize data pipelines for pre-processing, training, and inference.
- Train and evaluate behavior prediction models such as LSTM and Transformer architectures.
- Integrate behavior prediction systems into the autonomous driving stack and conduct system testing.
Requirements
- Ph.D. with 3 years of industry experience or Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong experience with machine learning, particularly in the context of behavior prediction for autonomous driving
- Familiarity with machine learning models such as LSTM, Transformer, and other relevant architectures
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Familiarity with large-scale data processing and cloud computing platforms
- Ability to develop key modules of the behavior prediction system, focusing on accurately predicting the movements and actions of surrounding objects
- Ability to create and maintain robust software infrastructure that enables the use of large-scale image and LiDAR data for learning algorithms, ensuring seamless integration and high performance
- Ability to design and write highly optimized pipelines for data pre-processing, model training, data post-processing, and inference, ensuring efficiency and scalability
- Experience in training advanced behavior prediction models, including LSTM, Transformer, and other relevant machine learning models
- Ability to evaluate model performance rigorously, identify and fix performance bottlenecks to achieve state-of-the-art results
- Ability to create scalable training and evaluation tools and infrastructure to support continuous improvement and rapid iteration of behavior prediction models
- Experience working closely with other engineers to integrate behavior prediction systems into the broader autonomous driving stack
- Experience conducting comprehensive system tests to ensure reliability and safety

Salary Range: 170,000-250,000 USD
