Job Description
Gatik is seeking a Senior Audio Systems Engineer to design, develop, and optimize vehicle audio architectures for autonomous trucks, focusing on sound quality, safety, and diagnostics in a collaborative, safety-critical automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate end-to-end vehicle audio systems, including transducers, DSP, and connectivity solutions
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing vehicle acoustics and conducting NVH analysis to mitigate unwanted noise
- Create and execute validation plans for audio and acoustic systems through laboratory and road testing
- Analyze and optimize audio systems to meet performance benchmarks for diagnostics and safety alerts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on subsystem integration and hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Manage technical relationships and specifications with Tier 1 suppliers for audio hardware
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test reports
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or a similar engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in vehicle audio system design, automotive NVH, or acoustic sensor integration.
- Deep technical expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) for audio applications and acoustic measurement equipment such as microphones, sound level meters, and DAQ systems.
- Knowledge of automotive networking and interface protocols including A2B, CAN, CAN-FD, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze test data, identify root causes, and propose corrective hardware or software actions.
- Excellent communication skills with experience documenting design specifications and validation results for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills with programming or scripting experience in languages such as Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.

Salary Range - 170,000-230,000 USD
