Job Description
The Autonomy Visualization Software Engineer at Nuro is responsible for developing high-quality visualization platforms and tools to support autonomous driving technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance development workflows and create polished visualizations for internal and external applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality visualization platforms for autonomous driving technology
- Build performant visualization frameworks using C, OpenGL, and Unity
- Collaborate with autonomy engineers to improve visualization workflows
- Work with ML Labeling teams to develop bespoke labeling tools for training data
- Interface with product managers and designers to create polished visualizations for external applications
Requirements
- Have 3 years of software development experience in C, OpenGL, and QT.
- Have a basic understanding of graphics concepts such as rendering pipelines, shaders, and coordinate systems.
- Prior experience with visualization applications or game engines including OpenGL, Vulkan, Unity, or Unreal.
- Be deeply technical and enjoy working through performance problems in low-level code, utilizing advanced language features.
- Possess strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.
