The Inventory Specialist at Gatik is responsible for managing material flow, overseeing inventory accuracy, and supporting vehicle build operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring materials are organized, traceable, and readily available for autonomous vehicle production.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, verify, and process incoming shipments and materials
Label materials, enter them into inventory systems, and track their movement
Maintain organized inventory storage and ensure accurate stock levels
Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts
Prepare kits for vehicle builds and track material usage
Process and document returns, damages, or excess inventory
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory availability and traceability
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is a plus
At least 3 years of hands-on inventory control experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
Hands-on experience with NetSuite required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting
Experience with physical inventory, cycle counting, and material handling best practices
Ability to receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
Ability to label materials with internal part numbers and enter them into NetSuite
Ability to notify relevant teams of incoming deliveries and ensure timely distribution to build areas
Ability to tag fixed assets and log them in inventory for tracking and compliance purposes
Maintain organized inventory storage and ensure accurate stock levels
Track material usage and prepare kits for vehicle builds
Perform regular inventory audits with the Finance team
Process and document returns for damaged, defective, or excess inventory, and adjust inventory records accordingly
Support continuous improvement of inventory workflows, storage layouts, and system accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory availability and traceability
Support operational efficiency by performing other related tasks as needed
Ability to work onsite 5 days a week at the Rochester Hills, Michigan office
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with physical activity
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Experience in automotive or manufacturing environment is a strong plus
